Professional Development Program Offerings
The district's professional development facility, the Mark Garis Professional Development Center, is located in the Souderton Area High School.

New Teacher Induction
In compliance with Pennsylvania state regulations and in alignment with the Souderton Area School District Strategic Plan, our district supports newly hired teachers through a mentor program and a series of workshops which comprise our New Teacher Academy.

Continuing Professional Education
In alignment with the Souderton Area School District Strategic Plan, our district provides on-going professional development through workshops offered on in-service days, Act 80 teacher training days, after school, and through webinars. We facilitate job-embedded learning and cultivation of professional learning communities organized around addressing specific student needs through teacher research and data analysis. Our professional development mirrors the Standards for Professional Learning developed by Learning Forward, an international association of educators focused on increasing student achievement through more effective professional learning.
