West Broad Teacher, Dan Stover, Named 2022 Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year
West Broad Street Elementary School Physical Education teacher Mr. Dan Stover has been named 2022 Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. The Temple University college graduate has been teaching elementary age students at the school since 2003.
The PA SHAPE Teacher of the Year award is given annually to an educator that demonstrates leadership in the field. Recipients must use creative teaching methods and innovative instructional practices, as well as advocate for quality Health and Physical Education in professional development opportunities.
Mr. Stover earned a Masters Degree from Wilkes University and is an expert in his field. He has also studied extensively best practices for incorporating technology in his instruction and is a leader to his fellow educators in the district. “Dan is a lifelong learner himself and he has a real gift for inspiring young people. We are lucky to have such a great teacher promoting the health and wellness of the students at West Broad” said Dr. Frank Gallagher, Superintendent.
